The Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany is looking for a service staff member in a part-time position (50%) for the Deputy Ambassador's official residence

The Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to NATO is looking for a service staff member in a part-time position (50%) for the Deputy Ambassador’s official residence from mid-November 2025

Applicants should ideally possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience as a household staff member in official households, residences or similar properties representing official interests (including experience in cleaning and laundry care)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good time management skills
  • Knowledge of French and/or English is required
  • Knowledge of German is desirable

We expect you to perform the following duties/tasks:

  • Cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the residence’s official area
  • Assist with preparations for events, such as receptions and seated meals (set-up and clean-up, table decoration, follow-up work)
  • Housekeeping
  • Serve as contact for external service providers, such as gardeners and contractors for general repairs, and coordinate with the Permanent Delegation’s administration section

The successful candidate must have impeccable manners, excellent interpersonal skills and be very reliable, discreet, diligent and flexible.

Type of contract: Permanent

Working hours: 19 hours per week (half-days / 50%)

Gross salary: From €1,708 per month, depending on experience and
qualifications

Employment is subject to a medical examination and security clearance.

The contractual conditions are governed by Belgian law.
